Flash Fiction Friday #34

What is that sound? That beating. That constant beating. Where is it? Tear up the floorboards! Tear them up! Oh, no it’s… it’s Flash Fiction Friday’s beating heart that won’t die and subsequently ate Chicago!

[And now for a word from our sponsor…]

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, meine dammen und herren, let’s havea look at this week’s wining entry. Let me just say that the field was broad and the choice difficult. Remember if your sentence wasn’t chosen this week, send it again next week.

Now, on with the show…

The rules:

You will send in your suggestion for starter sentences anytime during the week up to 12:00 noon CST on Friday.

If your sentence is not chosen and you feel it is too wonderful not to be chosen, you will send it in again the next week.

You will write an anecdote, short story, or novel length prose poem beginning with the sentence below.

You will add comments to this post indicating your desire to participate and the completion of your story.

You may join in at any time prior to the deadline.

You will display your story as a post on your own blog.

You will be done by Monday 12:00 Noon CST.

Those are all the rules, if you ask me about the rules or if something is or isn't allowed by the rules, a specially trained combat chicken will infiltrate your house and repeatedly remove your favorite programs from your TiVo’s season pass.

Here we go: It was either a pill or a piece of candy

Have fun.

Of course I felt it, trini.

I've been trying for 15 minutes to get an example of a link to work. Try the following with the *'s removed:

<*a href="http://purgatorian.blogspot.com/2006/05/fff-34-saga-of-sir-thomas-rand-kbty-pt.html">KBTY 2<*/*a*>
